If you are looking for a learning environment for your child or yourself that is warm and supportive yet also structured and rigorous, you may have come to the right place!

 

Located in downtown Ithaca, NY, I have been teaching piano for over thirty years, working with all ages and levels from beginners through very accomplished pianists.  I consider myself a facilitator of learning and thus students are encouraged to develop and follow their own musical leanings; at the same time, I ask my students to keep to a steady practice routine and to be thorough and precise in their work.  Regular group classes and concerts provide ample performance experience. 

 

I hold music education and piano performance degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and Ithaca College School of Music and have continued to study and develop my pianistic and pedagogical skills over the years.  Teaching is a lifelong passion for me as I hope that playing will be for my students!
